We can then update you when the fund opens again. ------------------------ Now more than ever, London needs new ideas, creators, doers and makers to help our city recover and grow stronger. Make London is looking for community-led ideas that help London recover from the COVID-19 crisis. We want to support creative, locally-led proposals which: - Bring People Together; - Improve Public Spaces; - Support Community Hubs & High Streets Make London is designed to support community-led projects and smaller organisations who have not received much public funding before. There are two tiers of funding: - Tier 1: Up to £5,000 for small projects that start something new or grow an existing idea - Tier 2: Up to £50,000 to support larger test projects for the city. At this tier, you’ll need to crowdfund some of your project costs

Make London is partnering with Spacehive, a civic crowdfunding website, which makes it easy to share your project idea online and then begin a crowdfunding campaign to collect donations of cash and skills, and to show evidence that local people support your project.

The deadline to get involved in Make London is the 28th of January 2021. By this date you need to have created your project page on Spacehive, pitched to the Make London fund (this involves answering some specific questions about your project and organisation) and have all your project costs, quotes and permissions in place.

Follow the below steps to find out more and get invovled!

1. REVIEW RESOURCES ON GLA WEBSITE

There is loads of helpful information and guidance on the GLA website to help you get started, from planning your project to running a crowdfunding campaign. www.london.gov.uk/make-london

2. ATTEND DROP IN SESSION

Attend one of our upcoming virtual drop-in sessions where you will be able to find out more about the programme:

3. REQUEST ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

Fill out the Project Support Form by 21 December

If you wish to get support discussing or developing your idea in before making an application on Spacehive, you’ll need to submit a Project Support Form by 21 December 2020.

5. CREATE YOUR SPACEHIVE PAGE

Start to create your project page on Spacehive as soon as possible. Spacehive can then start to give you feedback and advice.
