Conscious Cosmos Ltd, a social enterprise founded in Redbridge (North East London) have previously piloted the Ilford Arts Trail and been involved as a community organiser on many local festivals and events. As we developed our own identity, we came to focus on the impact that we can have on the progress of regeneration in the foreseeable future. Redbridge and our neighbouring boroughs are set to have large population increase over the next five years. We want to ensure that the urban and public realm is an attractive and safe environment for current and prospective residents. We want to empower community engagement and connectivity through our projects and outreach work. Through consultations with community members, groups, and schools; we are able to define important factors and become aware of any issues too. As a creative consultancy, we can develop plans and curate designs for murals and artists installations that highlight the feelings and ideas directly into the urban realm.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Unity Walls will bring help to maintain an elevated sense of community spirit as the regeneration continues throughout a number of boroughs across London. We want to promote community cohesion for the current generation and for those to come; to ensure that we can highlight the important themes such as sustainability, interaction, safety and conservation too. This project aims to trigger other plans linked to the above themes that will see a growth of community engagement. The overall benefits are certainly expected to improve health and well-being as well as contribute to civic pride as we want people to feel happy and safe in the community where they choose to spend their lives.
