I want to help people be more self sufficient. This means understanding how we can work with our environment to maintain our wellbeing. I've learnt that happiness is hard to achieve if you want to change yourself. So I'm going to create restorative, enhancing products using material I have grown, here in Waltham Forest.
Using wisdoms from around the world I'll create elixir to work with your body, as opposed to using chemicals aiming to alter natural radiance. Nourish who you are!
Gardening has helped me see a positive future; I want to share how therapeutic it is.
Nurturing plants demonstrates the importance of self care and helps reconnect with nature, a secure sense of stability in this ever uncertain world.
A holistic, hands on approach to our all round happiness is needed, It will be great to get those interested and offering support experiencing what they've helped create. I encourage you to come and help out.
What we'll deliver:
- A tidy and safe site
- Organic produce
- Seeds
- Tools
- Mulch, wood chip
Why it's a great idea:
The world really isn't doing too well and this has an effect on everyone in it.
Getting people enthused and giving them the skills to grow their own produce will help people get jobs, stay active, save money, boost general happiness. It'll be nice for the planet too!
It's a tricky process getting help with mental health and not everyone feels comfortable seeking it. Which is why gardening is so great, it reaches regardless of gender or age and plants the seed of care and growth.
Encouraging the use of preventative products will create less strain on health care and give people a greater sense of control and wisdom. Transferable skills can be learnt that help with confidence, employability, physical health and mental clarity.
Organic Lea, where I started my green fingered journey are a great example of what my project can become, I am in their support and intend to work together.
In success of this crowdfunding I will receive my award from UNLTD.
