We have raised beds for veg growing, we do composting and leaf mulching and have dedicated meadow area for wildlife. The majority of the garden has been constructed from waste materials from nearby construction sites. Our annual Summer Fayre is hosted in this space.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Our garden has been in existence for 3 years and now needs to expand and become even more inclusive. In 2017 we will have 98 families moving on to the estate into the refurbished Lakanal House block. We want to attract these new residents to the garden and get them involved in our environmental projects.
Steps to get it done:
Educate local residents in environmental issues and provide a safe and secure space for people to enjoy themselves and interact with others.
