Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

We are currently in the process of obtaining planning permission for this project. We are extremely confident that our application for permission will be granted during this campaign, but if it is not successful, no funds will be transferred to the project delivery manager. This project is to transform an ex-storage warehouse that has been empty for the last 6 years in Palmers Green, Enfield into a designated roller rink with a bar/cafe, using clean modern lines. Currently in shell condition, the refurbishment will include installing a modern reception/waiting area, a collection point that has racking for quad skates, lockers and soft seating area, wooden flooring throughout including a sprung floor skating area. Party Booths, bar and seating area also form part of the refurbishment as well as lighting, kitchen and new toilets. Our planning application for change of use has been validated and with your help we look forward to creating an exciting new space for everyone.

What we'll deliver:

  • A purpose built roller rink with a bar/cafe
  • Bring the community together
  • Give a vital spark to the regeneration of Palmers Green
  • Make a compelling destination that attracts people from outside the borough
  • Social Inclusion
  • Provide a much wanted local roller rink, offering activities with wide appeal

Why it's a great idea:

Having a designated roller rink in the LB of Enfield will bring people together, build links, reduce social isolation and give people access to learning, develop skills and work opportunities It is vitally important that we provide a safe and welcoming space where the community can socialise together. Our social purpose is to benefit the borough by providing a vibrant space in the heart of Palmers Green, giving children, adults and families a place to build their social and communication skills while having fun. Roller skating not only gives an overall body workout , but is great for health, physical and mental well being. Our family membership scheme will enhance the community experience and will ensure that irrespective of income everyone can participate. This project will help to boost the local economy by offering employment/training opportunities and will promote community cohesion as this is a fun activity for everyone to enjoy.

Steps to get it done:

  • Target Reached
  • Funds Received
  • Signage in place
  • PM and Steering Group monitor programme plan till completion
