A pop up community, family friendly event with an interactive budgeting game as its focus. We aim to bring greater awareness on the difficulties some low-income families face as they survive on £20.70
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
This event day will feature several different booths showcasing a variety of different tools and techniques that would aid in the support of London families to raise themselves out of the cycle of poverty and hardship to develop a more manageable and sustainable lifestyle. Alongside our pop up event, we also have plans to launch a company designed product called the £20 challenge, it is a fun, educational and family friendly designed board game. The game itself will be the focal point of the event as we envision an interactive large-scale model of the game to be showcased. With the aim to give insight and immerse the community in what it’s like for some families to have to live off only £20.70 (child benefit) a week for food and to see if they can navigate through life’s curve balls. We want to bring greater awareness and understandin to the local community on the difficulties low income London families face and their true struggle to remain financially sustainable week after week.
