I would like to open a cake/dessert shop which provides employment opportunities for local youth, evening entertainment and a gallery where upcoming artists can exhibit for free. I really want it to be like the heart of the community, whichever way this next election goes I know how out feels to be young and feel like the world is not on your side. Also I would like to provide free lunch for kids, or heavily discounted, because when I was little my family was really poor and I only used to have enough money to buy lunch three days a week, four if I sold sweets in school to make up the difference. Either way I would struggle to make enough to eat lunch five days a week and would often just end up eating bread as that was the only thing left in the house. It left me incapable of planning my revision or my education or my future as I was always just thinking about my next meal. Kids don't need that sort of stress, hence the free lunches :)

What we'll deliver:

• Buy the property required.
• Open up a cake shop
• Provide free lunches for kids (depending on popularity might have to have more specific criteria).

Why it's a great idea:

Community creates social cohesion, and it would be fabulous to have a place where young people could come where they felt like people were on their side. And providing employment opportunities and free food would be fab. I would like to operate it as a business so hopefully it makes a profit but I don't mind if it just breaks even rather than being a money maker.
