I want to create a space accessible to the the lower class creatives, a space where you can rock up hire the use of an available easel, graphic tablet, sewing machine etc for an hour at a time and crack on, no weekly or monthly commitment. no having to find rent money in order to practice your craft. because lets face it, whats affordable to middle class England is not affordable to all. somewhere the most creative members of society can harness and grow their skills without breaking the bank, A hub for urban deprived youth to engage and channel their creative energy in a social atmosphere, with a side serving of coffee/juice. offering a mix of affordable and free workshops based around the arts, opportunities to showcase work through exhibitions, free figurative drawing sessions. and live performance ,

What we'll deliver:

• Educate youth/young adults to options available to them to progress through their journey
• give young croydon the opportunity to earn an income via utilising the space and it facilities
• offer equipment and space at a realistic affordable rate in a social atmosphere
• provide a space for young croydon to exhibit and take pride in their achievements
• provide a venue / equiptment that challenges what affordable means to the deprived
• social inclusion-reignite, engage and motivate youth/young adult with arts and culture
• to encourage artist collaborations through networking
• to give the young croydon a new face and voice through art

Why it's a great idea:

society is obsessed with urban culture but neglects it urban youth. appropriating their creative disposition throughout media and profiting of it, while labelling the cultures innovators as social deviants. Its time for young people to rebrand the URBAN label! show society that given access to opportunity rather than just a peep hole, they can and will succeed in society.
