What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Dance in the Dark is a great idea because there are very few regular dance, exercise and health and well-being programmes for visually impaired people in Islington and across London. Since Illuminate Freedom launched in 2015, we have been inundated with requests from people to bring our awesome classes and services to their own boroughs. Much awareness still needs to be raised across London and the UK with regards to sight loss, and Dance in the Dark aims to bring the community together to break down barriers and build cohesion.

A huge thank you to Sharon Billingham from Thomas Pocklington Trust for buying us 100 Blindfolds for Dance in the Dark! That's another £43 off of our total. Thank you to Arsenal in the Community for agreeing to bring some extra blindfolds to the event to make sure we have enough for you all to experience Dance in the Dark, if you're sighted. Lastly a huge thank you to Charlotte Valentine, the Manager at Whetherspoons who has agreed to pledge £100 in support! Also to Snappy Snaps for assisting us with printing our flyers.
