A local event celebrating creative computing and digital art in Peckham, with a programme of interactive artworks, artist workshops, talks and events. This event will be held over a long weekend (Thursday to Sunday). Since creative computing is an umbrella term, we decided to assign each day with a theme: physical computing, generative art, 'bring your own laptop' and internet and AI ethics. We aim to follow a ‘hands dirty’ approach which involves several workshops for beginners who have an interest in the subject but have found it hard to access it. Each workshop will allow the audience to take new knowledge back home to develop and explore further. In addition, we will provide a platform for emerging artists and a space for digital art communities to meet in person, getting people together again after Covid-19. It is a community led project run in collaboration with the Creative Computing Institute in Camberwell, Peckham Levels and a range of Peckham artists.
