Our existing proposal is to start with a month long pop up to determine the interest and engagement of the community, with a view to develop a long-term, permanent space bespoke to these needs. Bath houses are traditionally highly social places and we want to reintroduce that culture to a UK audience. Creating a community spirit through the shared experience of bathing. We aim to stand out as a quality independent bath house, that differentiates itself from a luxury spa or after gym warm-down. We believe bathing should be part of a regular routine of self care and socialising rather than an indulgent treat or exercise related afterthought.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The physical and mental health benefits of sauna are well documented (skin rejuvenation, exfoliation, cardiovascular fitness, detoxification, improved immune response, care for seasonal affective disorder sufferers, stress relief, muscle relaxation to name but a few), our emphasis is also on mindfulness, wellness, companionship, and community spirit. The emphasis on the outdoor space will also have positive impacts on local biodiversity and offer the chance for people to harness the therapeutic benefits of spending time in nature. The mission is to provide this experience affordably, with a low price point as well as accessibility scheme, friendly and family orientated so that everyone feels welcome and supported.
