We started this crowdfunding idea to find and fund a venue which we had found hard to come by to date. However, in a stroke of good fortune, Pete Leveson, at South Norwood Baptist Church offered to share with us their tremendous facilities, which means we can now look to get bigger and better. We want to do several things, from small to quite big, and this crowdfunding should enable all those things. We need some equipment, boring stuff for health and safety, but all very important. We need to get loads of printing done to spread the word so we can get as many people joining in as we can, so we can have as big affect as possible. Finally, probably later this year, we want to buy an old food van, so we can expand the project and reach those people within our community that are unable to come to us. Thanks for your time. What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We will be bringing people together. Putting a bit of love back into the community, helping people who need helping. Encouraging a social environment and empowering people to get back on their feet. We hope to branch out from the kitchen to more days a week, and to have spin off outreach and community projects, but it all starts here.

Hi Folks, As you will have learned from the email sent today, our Spacehive thing wasn't successful. They said they would extend it by a month for us, but seemingly didn't, and now the project has expired, despite your kind offers of generosity, we won't get any of your lovely pledges. HOWEVER! The show goes on, and if you are still interested in supporting us, we would be ever so grateful if you would consider making a donation to us instead, and we will crowdfund again for things like the food van once we are more established. It's exciting times ahead, but only with your help, can we keep up the good work. You can make a direct transfer to our account details below, or click on the link to make a donation via Paypal/Card. Our charity PayPal is taking a while to set up, so using this one, we will have to pay fees, but its better than nothing, if this is a preferable option for you, and we can send the money across. https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=6cE39O6P2NQWpLZb46iEqmtEcVTFhIvWdsAuWQs_S5hUI55S6pMHBNlMK04&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d94717bd303200c3af9aadd01a5f55080 The Curiosity Project 09-01-29 11758332. In case this message doesn't reach everyone, we will be emailing directly too. Don't think us demanding, we just want to make sure we get the word out. Thanks again for your support and interest so far. Paul & Laura
Evening Backers! Just found this tool that enables us to update you :-) Firstly thanks to all of you who have so far pledged money to support this project. Our first two weeks have been tremendous, and local support is growing exponentially! You'll notice we are some way off our target, but fear not (!) Spacehive are allowing us a months extension, so we can roll off the back of our support and drive this home. Please please continue to share news of the project, word of mouth means a lot. If everyone could get 10 people to donate £1 or £2, we would increase the level of backers we have - and thus be more appealing to businesses whose big cheques we are after - but also be 10 x £1 or £2 reach per person! Stay tuned, and remember, its a standing open invite to come join us for lunch :-) Keep hungry. SNCK
