We have wonderful allotments with organic vegetables and fruit...let's take our children on a day out to visit and learn about healthy, home grown, organic food and the community volunteer projects.

It is a simple project that will extend the outreach of allotments in the local area and volunteer initiatives...there is no huge costs involved as it is local. We have these precious gems in the community and need to encourage children to look after it and at the same time learn about organic food and healthy eating. As a nutritionist, I would like to meet the children beforehand for a brief introduction about healthy eating and what they will be seeing in the allotment, as well as fun, informative tips about why it's good for health and how to cook it (ideas).
