A new path for park users to reach currently inaccessible benches with direct views over the tranqil Millers Pond.
A new path needs to be marked out, cut, dug, then filled with coarse ballast and topped with a fine ballast to enable walking access to two little used benches. The benches are in a perfect spot for beautiful views over the pond and thereby watching the many waterfowl that frequent this beautiful ornamental park.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The location of the two benches is on a an area that gets quite waterlogged and thereby not very accessible. The path will make the benches accessible to all and provide a lovely spot to watch the various waterfowl using the pond. Millers Pond is a beautiful and tranquil park in the centre of Shirley which is loved by all local residents. We want to keep it like this!
Steps to get it done:
The project will increase the enjoyment gained by visitors allowing them to sit and reflect on this peaceful oasis in the heart of Shirley
