The Bop Hub is a creative space for the wider community that looks to bridge cultures, build relationships, and provide new creative skills to individuals & groups to grow in their artistic abilities.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
The BOP HUB is a creative space set in a once-vacant unit, which will run for 3 years with the potential to expand across further years. This hub will build individuals and group foundations where they can get access to the required information needed for creative growth such as setting up freelance contracts, artwork pricing structures, and working in collaboration. Promotion of work is essential, that is why we will deliver 'ask the panel' and networking events to bridge partnerships and increase their skills. With previous experience working in communities, we are aware of the challenges faced in all groups ranging from culture, age, and health so within this hub we look to tackle such issues with creative activity workshops that will be presented to all. Furthermore, we will set relief to all parents/guardians who have signed their children up to any of our youth clubs, setting prices at a minimum and provide sponsorship for free school meals (FSM) children.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Our process is to look for more sustainable ways of work that will help the community, not for the present season but for the long-term. This incentive will bridge communities, provide space for individuals and groups, and build on their creative abilities. We know how important creative arts practice can help with mental wellbeing, prevent social exclusion, and tackle issues such as poverty and inequality as many will be led to more unique job opportunities or even start an enterprise of their own. We believe this project will benefit all, especially those facing social exclusion e.g. those living alone not able to work due to factors such as disability, low skilled, low incomes, or retirement. The project will not only provide creative support but build confidence and provide a voice for others.
Steps to get it done:
Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated! On this occasion, we will be awarding some of our backers with the below rewards: £30 Pledge - Supporters Printed Cup £50 Pledge - Two entry tickets to a Print & Prosecco Night £100 Pledge - A printed beanbag & launch invitation.
