SotG footpath is part of the Thames National Trail and has not been fully repaired in years with damaged areas being filled in with various types and grades of tarmac in between the very small sections of old London York paving stones.

SotG footpath is used by many hundreds of local residents and visitors to the Thames - its wildlife - its historic listed buildings - its various riverside pubs - and by visitors to Kew Gardens
