TDF offer mainstream complementary therapies to people with disabilities and chronic health conditions. Many people find it difficult to get to us so we want to create a mobile therapy space.

We get many requests for our therapists to attend outreach events and would like to be able to take our services out into the wider community especially for those with disabilities and chronic health conditions who find it hard to get to our treatment centre at the RNOH Hospital in Stanmore. We intend to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle and refurbish it internally to create a welcoming therapeutic space with a therapy table which can be used for a variety of treatments ranging from osteopathy, acupuncture and massage to reflexology, craniosacral therapy and hypnotherapy.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The mobile therapy room will will enable us to provide a service for those unable to come to us and allow them to try out our therapies as well as raising awareness of the service that we offer. This in turn can help those struggling with chronic health conditions and enable them to try treatments which can help relax, invigorate and provide some relief from the pain and isolation which often accompany ill health and disability.
Steps to get it done:
We are a small self funding charity who have been running for the last 18 years solely reliant on donations from individuals and charitable trusts. We are unique in that we are happy to treat anybody with any disability or chronic health condition - those with certain conditions will require a letter from their GP giving consent for our services. Our members tell us that we made a difference to their lives and would like to be able to expand our services to a wider area on order to reach more people in need.
