Aldridge bushcraft experiences

Our aim to get people of all abilities and back grounds active in the outdoors, by participating in sessions of Bushcraft, survival and navigation. Skills learned will help to boost confidence of the individual and promote team work skills to reach a goal. The simple task of successfully creating a fire that you can cook on, or to simply sit around and share stories, can be a greatly rewarding experience. Navigation skills learned can open up the world to people who have always seen rural settings as daunting and out of reach. Adventures are important , no matter how small. Our sessions will provide a break form the norm, away for the technical age and confines of the city reverting to our basic tools in a immersive program to create shelter, warmth, food , giving participants chance to be close as possible to nature, confident and relaxed.

Walsall Wood Lionesses FC is a brand new football team created for females age 16+. The actual physical cost of providing football opportunities has become astronomical, because of the cost of living crisis every cost that comes along with running a football team has risen. We are attempting to raise funds to pay for pitch hire for matches , pitch hire for training, playing kit and training kit, all of this will contribute towards keeping around 20 females fit and active and playing the game they love within the Walsall area.

Play Area at Beacon Church, Pheasey
Play Area at Beacon Church, Pheasey joined Crowdfund Walsall1 week ago

There's not much for young people, of any age, to do around Pheasey and Park Farm! We want to use the Beacon Church building better for the community of Pheasey and Park Farm, especially young people. So we're creating a youth and community coffee shop to provide a safe space for young people in the heart of the community. However, we want it to be open to everyone else as well. In doing so, we will create a much needed community space and also be able to use the revenue from the coffee shop to fund the work that we will be doing with young people who live locally. As part of this we plan to install multi-play equipment in the enclosed church garden so that younger children will have a safe space to play whilst the adults they are with are able to talk and build better relationships within their community. This will also include safer matting on the grassed area around the play equipment as well as raised sensory flower beds for children to plant in, maintain and promote learning.

The Loft youth centre & studio
The Loft youth centre & studio joined Crowdfund Walsall1 week ago

A homely environment for the youth to let their hair down, talk about any problems and vent through music, art and writing. Not only to vent but for the youth to have somewhere to go, to be creative, record music & express what’s on their mind, within a space that they can be heard and not judged. ‘The Loft’ will be an easy going environment with not many rules other than respect one another and the equipment. With plans of holding, DJ workshops, song writing workshops, how to make beats, Sketch days, and more, we want the youth to feel comfortable enough to open up and release what’s on there minds. We want mentors available for young people to speak to if they feel to, we plan to have UK artists, dj’s, performers etc to come in and speak with the youth and share their story. We also would like to attract schools and homes for group sessions that will include, making music, writing lyric/poems/story’s, drawing and sketching.

Walsall Photographic Society was founded in 1892 and has been closely linked with Walsall for 132 years .Steeped in history but focused on the future. Our aim is to provide an outlet for new and existing members on a weekly basis, providing interesting and fulfilling activities for all generations. The proposed programme of events provides an outlet for members to come together and socialise, take studio photographs, learn new skills and have meaningful activities. Additionally external events are planned to get members both new and existing about to visit local Nature reserves, beauty spots and interesting locations to photograph or just to enjoy a change of scenery. All activities will provide a respite from the fast pace of work and modern living, and give purpose to all members. There are many dimensions and shades of life, and everyone has their own reality. Our project aims to provide a different Lens, with a different focus to present a different view on life.
