The idea
We are seeking funding to transform the role of our community worker into a full-time position, enabling the launch of tailored projects identified through our recent community mapping initiative. This comprehensive project revealed significant local needs and gaps in service provision, alongside the rich tapestry of existing offerings. With a well-equipped community hub, strong connections to local groups, dedicated volunteers, and an employed part-time worker, we are uniquely positioned to enhance community service delivery. Expanding this role will allow us to deepen collaborations and deliver a diverse range of programmes that address pressing local demands, fostering greater impact and resilience within our area. This year St Martin’s has celebrated our 65th anniversary of being part of our local community, and we are hoping to celebrate and add to our unique history, through a youth project that encourages young people to share their own stories and learn about our local history.
