The idea

The project will be based at Manor Farm Community Centre. The project will consist of a three hour session, each week for twelve weeks. Sessions will consist of one hour workshops (covering dementia awareness, health and wellbeing, volunteering and first aid), this will alternate with cricket coaching across the 12 weeks. The remainder of each session will include a fun game of walking cricket and a social session in a break out room including refreshments. After the 12 week project concludes, we hope to integrate participants into weekly walking cricket sessions.

We will open up 14 spaces for this project.

The project has the support of Dementia UK. We will also involve local dementia support groups located at Manor Farm Community Centre.
