Centre will provide support to a community that has suffered under covid with resultant lonliness, loss of freinds and relatives and need to improve their mental health with a partnership with mental health trust

Proposal for Proffit Street building. Lead local based organisation established October 2017 called North Walsall Community Link who have formed a committee of local residents and partners chaired by Mr Khan 90 Bloxwich Road. This organisation is in the process of registering with the charity commission . NWCL has a constitution and is registered with One Walsall and is in the process of recruiting a target of 20 volunteers to support this plan. There will be two supporting and advising charities Oak tree trust ( charity reg number 1025957 ) established in 1993 which is also registered as a charitable company limited by guarantee. Also by Midlands International Aid Trust ( reg charity number 1110634) founded in 2003. Both these charities have a long history of joint fund raising .. for example recently raised over £100K for the Walsall Mayor appeal . Both charities are committed to support NWCL in seeking funds and overseeing their governance arrangements .
