Brilliant news, thanks everyone!

The aim of the project will be to provide football for men which will improve both their mental and physical health while helping them to achieve their goal and make new friends.
The project will be aimed at bringing men together to play and attend football together. This will benefit both their mental and physical health by giving them something positive to focus on, providing physical activity and a chance to build friendships. It will also help us promote and raise awareness of the importance of positive mental well being and how being active and meeting new people can improve this. The basis for the project is to provide men with the chance to play football every week and meet new people. The link between exercise and positive mental health is massive and providing people with a platform to do that is so important. We will also provide match day visits for men to Walsall FC games to give them a positive event to look forward to. The project will run weekly on a Monday evening at Sneyd Community Association, 7pm-8pm and will target men who live or work in the local area. We will monitor the affect on their well being before, during and after the project.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The project will bring about benefits to men's physical and mental well being. Men's mental health is an important subject and in Walsall it is essential to raise awareness of this and to improve the quality of life for men and their families. This project will benefit men who live or work in Walsall and mainly be targeted to those who do so close to Sneyd Community Association. The project will bring about many benefits to the men that attend, firstly meeting new people and making new friends is a great way to boost morale, confidence and reduce anxiety. Playing football, a sport that many men love is a great way of bringing men together for a purpose. There are many ways that physical activity can positively affect someones mental health such as - Giving men something to focus on is a positive coping strategy -Being active can make you feel better about yourself and help you meet goals -Regular exercise can help reduce feelings of low mood
