The idea
The Stick & Wicket Club in Aldridge is used by many people in the local community and wider Walsall area for a wide range of outdoor activities. As well as being home to a number of local junior and senior sports teams, the grounds at the club are used for many other activities such as walking, running, cycling and dog walking.
The club wants to ensure that everyone who uses the grounds can do so in a safe and enjoyable manner and feel that installing fencing around the sports pitches will help to ensure that this is the case. We feel that the fencing will not only make the grounds a safer place for activities, but it will also enable the club to improve the facilities available to those who use them.
What we'll deliver

Why it's a great idea
At the Sticket & Wicket, we believe that installing fences around the sports pitches at the club will greatly enhance the expoerience for all those using the grounds. We feel that it make the club a much safer environment for the local Aldridge ad wider Walsall community to use, as it will clearly denote the boundary of the sports pitches and as a result, will reduce the risk of injury to people using the grounds for other activities.
The installation of fencing will also help the club to improve the facilities available at the club. This will enhance the experience of those who play sports and take part in other leisure activities at the club, as well potentially attracting new participants. Having secure sports pitches will also allow the club to invite local schools and interest groups to use the facilities, knowing that they will be accessing secure and safe facilities.
