The idea
We have been in Bloxwich for 2 years, having taken over and refurbished the old Barclays Bank on the High Street, we have witnessed the development of a clear community togetherness, brought together by the people using the Café, known as Expressions.
We offer a wide range of activities daily, from Knitting, Arts and Crafts, Sewing, Yoga and Pilates Music jamming sessions a men's group and a monthly social. Over the 2 years since opening, we have seen over a thousand individuals use the premises and we are full most days from the time we open till we close. Our activities have proven to be extremely popular not just for those taking part, but for giving people a sense of purpose, helping them to re find confidence, self esteem, and develop friendships. For many of our participants helping them to overcome life challenges is often witnessed and often shared amongst group members whose sympathy and empathy help individuals share their own experiences and improve their health & wellbeing.
