Sefton Council in partnership with community fundraising platform Spacehive launches Sefton Crowd. This is an exciting opportunity to empower local people and give them the opportunity to create and deliver innovative projects that enhance the borough.
Sefton Council has a £30,000 fund available. Projects across the Sefton borough can pitch for up to 40% of their campaign target or a maximum pledge of up to £5,000 from the community Transition Fund.
The programme enables constituted community groups to campaign and draw in funding and support connecting communities, businesses and Sefton Council. The programme will foster greater community ownership by investing in projects that mean the most to local communities

Launching a free financial education programme in Liverpool, this project provides 6 weekly in-person workshops designed for adults aged 18 and over. Aiming to enhance financial literacy across the local community, the sessions will cover essential money management skills, including budgeting, saving, and understanding credit. With a goal to engage over 60 participants, the initiative seeks to empower individuals with practical knowledge to make informed financial decisions and achieve greater economic stability. Suitable for diverse backgrounds, the programme promotes inclusivity and encourages proactive financial planning.
We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded £6889 from the Sport England Movement Fund to support our disability gymnasts. To fully utilise this generous pledge, we need to raise an additional £6889 in matched funding. The goal is to purchase a new competition-standard Ultimate trampoline, along with surrounding floor mats and safety push-in mats. This specialised equipment is crucial for our gymnasts, who are excelling at regional and national levels. As demand for disability sessions continues to grow, upgrading to competition-standard trampolines ensures our athletes can safely develop advanced skills and experience the same platforms they encounter at competitions. Currently, over 40 athletes share one older trampoline, while other available trampolines fail to meet competition-standard requirements. By supporting our project, you’ll help create a safer, more inclusive environment that allows these talented individuals to reach their full potential.
