Knife crime is something many young people hear about every day, yet too often the conversation starts after a tragedy has already happened. This project aims to change that by bringing honest, engaging and relatable knife crime awareness workshops into secondary schools. We want students to hear real stories, ask difficult questions, and understand the true consequences of carrying a knife — not only for themselves, but for their families, friends and entire communities. These workshops will focus on prevention, confidence and positive decision-making. Young people will learn how to deal with peer pressure, fear and conflict without turning to violence. By working with mentors, youth workers and people with lived experience, we hope to create safe spaces where students feel listened to rather than judged.
