Ladies Toilets fit for the 21st Century started fundraising!2 months ago

To reconfigure and improve our clubhouse toilet facilities to provide better toilets particularly for the ladies.
When our clubhouse was built 40 years ago it was the reality that ladies did not play rugby or football. Accordingly the clubhouse was built with much more provision for mens toilets than ladies. Much has changed since then, and we have now, for example, a thriving womens and girls rugby section, and mixed gender touch and walking rugby. Our toilet facilities need to catch up with the modern world. We want to knock down the brick wall between the mens and ladies toilets and rebuild in a different place and change the entrance configuration to provide an equality of toilet facilities.

A clubhouse that is more appropriate for modern times. It also will enhance our ability to rent out the facilities for private hire and thereby provide much needed revenues.

VolunteerGuildfordians Rugby Club (https://www.grfc.co.uk/) is community rugby club based on Stoke Park in the heart of Guildford. As well as providing the 'traditional' mens rugby we have made great strides to bring rugby to a much broader cross-section of the community. We have a thriving children's section with over 500 players (who can be seen out on Stoke Park most sundays enjoying rugby activity). We also have a Touch Rugby section open to to all aged 14+, males and females.
To really broaden the appeal in recent years our womens and girls sections have grown rapidly bringing the joy of rugby to girls and women in the Guildford area.
Finally, we also have started a walking rugby section with players of both sexes and of all ages including many in their 60s and 70s who are relishing being able to participate in a low impact team sport.
Project Owner: Guildfordians Association Club The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
