The idea
The Guildford Town Centre Races is a unique event in the South East and comprises a series of cycle races in the town centre finishing on the iconic High Street. The event includes a series of youth races for Under 8 boys and girls up to 16 year olds. The event for 2023 will be part of the British Cycling National Circuit Series, will be the only round of the series to held in the South East and will bring the best male and female riders in the country to Guildford.
What we'll deliver
- An evening of cycle racing for boys and girls
- The elite male and female riders in the UK competing with one another in separate races
- Hire of infrastructure, barriers, sound system, first aid,
- Use of the iconic High Street as the finishing straight
- Unique and exciting town centre course, free to spectators
Why it's a great idea
The event is held in the town centre utilising the iconic High Street as the finishing line. Held on a short course on closed roads it brings thrilling cycle racing into the town, free to watch for spectators. For backers and sponsors who are on the race route they are able to link their brand directly to the event.
In 2023 the event will be part of British Cycling's National Circuit Series and will be the only round to be held in the south of the UK. it will also be the final round of the Regional Youth Championships. This means that the best elite male and female riders and their teams, families and friends will all be in Guildford.
