This new crowdfunding programme from Shropshire Council in partnership with Spacehive, is an opportunity for you to bring forward an impactful project in your neighbourhood and receive financial support from the Council and the local community - via crowdfunding - to help make it happen.
The council has two funds which it can use to support projects:
- £150,000 Shared Prosperity Community Fund (non-capital funding with a maximum pledge of £10k)
- £150,000 Shropshire Green Spaces and Active Travel Fund (capital funding with a maximum pledge of £20k)
Spacehive’s mission is to make it easy for local people to improve their local area. Spacehive has helped crowdfund over 2,000 bright ideas from local communities - and yours could be next.

Our innovative initiative focuses on extending the life of pre-loved clothing while addressing critical social and environmental challenges. By collecting unwanted clothes, we create a sustainable cycle that benefits both the planet and individuals in need. Through free distribution, affordable sales, and special community events, we ensure second-hand garments reach people across Shropshire, from Market Drayton to Ludlow. With a commitment to reducing textile waste and supporting those in areas of deprivation, we aim to curtail the 1.7 million tonnes of textile waste generated annually in the UK. Our volunteer-driven efforts help protect household budgets and promote eco-consciousness, fostering a sense of unity and sustainability in Shropshire.
