This new crowdfunding programme from Shropshire Council in partnership with Spacehive, is an opportunity for you to bring forward an impactful project in your neighbourhood and receive financial support from the Council and the local community - via crowdfunding - to help make it happen. The council has funding of £150,000 ( non-capital funding) through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to pledge to projects through this programme.

Spacehive’s mission is to make it easy for local people to improve their local area. Spacehive has helped crowdfund over 2,000 bright ideas from local communities - and yours could be next.

A home for LADS drama in Llanymynech

LADS theatre group has a vision is for a permanent warm, welcoming, safe space that we can share with other creatives and the community. We have the opportunity to rent Ebenezer Chapel in Llanymynech for 18 months while raising funds to buy the building, saving it for the community and preventing conversion into housing. After years of struggling with limited storage, nowhere to build sets or props, fitting in rehearsals around village hall schedules we want a base for all of this plus a new youth theatre group, arts & theatre workshops and fun events eg acoustic open mic nights. The chapel is in good condition with space & potential. Since 1992 LADS has been renowned for creating imaginative, inspirational theatre and our patron is an RSC Assc. We have grown in numbers and expertise and now tour many venues. Membership grows year on year from an ever wider area. We have vision and passion and want to bring more to the community we serve from a permanent space where all can develop.

Help Bomere Heath Cricket Club!
Help Bomere Heath Cricket Club! joined Crowdfund Shropshire16 hrs ago

The COVID-19 lockdown has had a big impact on Bomere Heath Cricket Club. We have suffered a huge loss of income due to no social or sponsorship events, reduced bar sales and no match-day fees. Despite this, we still have bills to pay including insurance and ground maintenance. To be able to continue to provide cricket for the local community we need your help to meet some of these costs. Money that you donate will be matched by the England & Wales Cricket Board so please give generously! We hope to see you all back at the ground soon.

New animal pens (farm for kids with SEN)
New animal pens (farm for kids with SEN) joined Crowdfund Shropshire16 hrs ago

We take in a wide range of animals including those harder to re-home such as male dairy goats destined for slaughter, micro x kune kune pigs destined for slaughter, unwanted pet rabbits, degus, peacocks, turtles and ex race horses and an ex breeding mare. The new goats can jump the damaged, old, standard height stock wire plus rails, therefore we need to re-fence their field with four foot foot stock wire plus post and rail. The horse fields need new fencing in many places. This fencing needs to be strong to cope with ex race horses pushing on it.
