Brilliant news, thanks everyone!

Get Crafty with Words brings generations together in a safe and non-judgmental setting with the objective of improving literacy and reading skills in a fun way.
Get Crafty with Words aims to improve literacy skills for children and adults living in Oswestry and the surrounding area. For children, storytime shouldn’t be just at bedtime and for adults, there's more to life than reading a utility bill. Strong literacy and reading skills positively impact many aspects of life, including communication, employability and mental wellbeing. By combining arts and crafts with reading, the project will encourage individuals of all ages to join a group focused on using creative skills to improve literacy and reading abilities. This will be achieved by offering a relaxed environment that encourages learning through creativity. Members of the group will learn, and build confidence to improve their reading and writing skills by engaging with others through creating their own short story with illustrations.
