The idea
An installation of various active play equipment on a newly created green space at the new station. This is to provide further attraction for families travelling on the Heritage trains in addition to the Brewery, Restaurant, Buffet car, picnic area, interpretation room and toilet facilities that have recently already been created.
There is demand from visitors for enhanced provision for families at this destination.
What we'll deliver
- Erect a Timber Climbing Frame trail.
- Install safety fencing around play area
Why it's a great idea
Encourage families to dwell longer during their visit and feel the extra time spent was justified. Allow children to let off steam having just been confined in a public railway environment. To offer visiting school parties options for physical activities. To offer activity options for children's parties at the railway.
