National Lottery - Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund distributes money raised by National Lottery players, who raise £36 million each week for good causes throughout the UK. Thanks to National Lottery players last year, it awarded over half a billion pounds (£588.2 million) of life-changing funding to communities across the UK.

Our purpose is to support people and communities to help them thrive.

To get involved, projects need to create a project as part of the Crowdfund Sunderland programme. They will then be assessed to see how closely their project aligns to our fund and a pledge will be made to successful projects.

1. Complete our expression of interest form – a member of the Spacehive team will be in touch to provide you with the necessary information and support and invite you to a upcoming workshop.

2. Create your online project page which will match you to the Healthy City Crowdfund Grant. In the pitch, you will be asked some additional questions about your project.

3. The project costs and necessary permissions will be checked and verified.

4.  Set you campaign to live. Start by getting lots of small pledges from the community to show local support for your project. This will help unlock bigger pledges.

5. All projects will be reviewed and successful projects can expect to receive a pledge a month after their campaign starts.
