Crowdfund Malvern Hills gives local people the opportunity to create and deliver projects that aim to enhance our area- with a particular focus of making it greener, healthier, and connected. Our platform is a place to connect with businesses, residents, organisations, and communities to showcase ideas for the district and to attract funds to make them a reality. Along with ongoing promotional advice and support from Spacehive, Crowdfund Malvern Hills offers projects the opportunity to receive a donation from Malvern Hills District Council provided it meets the criteria of our fund, as well as having received a sufficient amount of support from the community.

The Spring 2024 round is open with a project workshop being held on Tuesday 5th March, 12pm- 1pm - Register here for free

The deadline of the current round is Wednesday 1 May. This means projects must be fully launched and permissions secured by this date.

Malvern Parish Primary School (formerly Mill Lane School) has a history that dates back to the mid-19th century! The school is an integral part of the community and has provided education to generations of local children. Our newly appointed PTA team are really keen to explore the history of the school building and use it as a way of (re)connecting with the school community- past, present and future. We will use the funds raised by this campaign to prepare and host a School Heritage Open Day! To PREPARE we will: -draw on the expertise of local historians and resources to research the history of the school -arrange trips and activities (such as poetry/drawing competitions, time capsules and a dress up day) -produce materials to display our findings -our Enterprise After School Club will develop school memorabilia to sell at the event. To SHARE our findings we will host a celebration event, inviting people to enjoy tours, guest speakers, entertainment and refreshments!

The core of our project is to install solar panels on the pavilion which will significantly reduce electricity costs and the club’s carbon footprint. Alongside this we are installing a water harvesting system to capture rainwater to use for maintaining the pitch at North End Lane. Cricket pitches need a lot of water to prepare and we are keen to reduce our carbon footprint and costs. In partnership with Malvern Green Space we will host a community garden on an under used area of the ground Finally we will look to begin the move away from fossil fuel powered equipment with our first electric mower and / or lower emission equipment.
