Updates
We're really happy to announce that we reached our target! Thank you all for the pledges that you made and if Space Hive haven't already been in contact then they will be soon about collecting your donations. It's incredibly kind that so many of you have wanted to support us with the transformation of the old Newington Library. We'd like to particularly thank the Mayor's office for their large contribution that really made this possible. The doors are already open and so please do come and visit. We are currently hosting the incredibly well received Andy and Peter Holden "Natural Selection" exhibition run by Art Angel. This is only on for a couple more weeks and closes on the 26th November. We are already running courses from the building and our Foundation and Third year diploma students are using the studios. We'll be running a range of short courses including Young Artists (http://artacademy.org.uk/young-artists/) as well as evening and day time courses too. (http://artacademy.org.uk/evening-classes/) Finally it's been a very busy few months for us and one of the major reasons we've been looking for more space is that we can final announce that from September 2018 we'll be running a BA in Fine Art (subject to validation). This is a huge achievement for us and one that we are all incredibly excited about. To find out more visit http://artacademy.org.uk/fine-art-ba. Thanks again everyone and we look forward to seeing you soon.
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago we have some big news coming that we thought we'd have been able to announce at the beginning of this week. We are happy to confirm that this will definitely happen at the beginning of next and Spacehive have kindly offered to let the project run for a few more days. This is not normally done and we are very grateful for their support in keeping the project live.
Things have been a little quiet on Space Hive over the past few weeks whilst we've been working on an exciting project. All being well we hope to announce this next Wednesday. Whilst we wait we have been granted a two week extension to this project as we put the final details together. We look forward to keeping you updated next week!
