Updates
After discussion with Spacehive and London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, we have decided to scale down our project so we can deliver as soon as possible. This involves removing the planters as one of our crowdfunded costs - the rest of the project will remain the same. We still aim to make the school's playground a more green and inviting place to sit, relax and play with friends. As a reminder, our concept is to establish a natural "green screen" around the playground; one side runs parallel to King's Street and one side runs along Weltje Road, leading to the A4. We aim to create nature's "green screen" with the layering of sustainable and low maintenance shrubs, trees, hedges and climbers around the boundary, leaving the middle free for school activities. The outdoor space at Franklin will also benefit from the funding. We’re proud to announce that we will still have the support of London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham who are still pledging £10,000 towards our project. Thank you to all our supporters for making this happen. WLFS PTA
WLFS PTA is delighted to announce that with a generous donation from the Knowledge Schools Foundation Trust we have now raised over £21,000 to make our outdoor spaces greener. Having greener outdoor spaces for all the pupils to enjoy will enrich the total educational experience for the pupils at our school. Thank you Knowledge Schools Foundation Trust!
WLFS PTA is delighted to announce that LBHF has agreed to pledge £10,000 from the Community Infrastructure Levy fund to our Greening-UP! project. This is a huge boost to our budget and will make a material difference to making WLFS's outdoor spaces greener, something that will benefit all 900 pupils currently at the school and future generations to come. Thank you LBHF for your generous support! WLFS PTA
A massive THANK YOU to the 50 backers who have supported our Greening-UP! project this month. Please ask your friends and family to make a pledge of any size, remember the more backers we have the greater the chance we have of successfully winning a grant of up to £25,000 from LBHF for our Greening-UP! project. With appreciation and gratitude from WLFS PTA.
