The WLFS Parent Teacher Association (PTA) aims to be at the heart of our school community.
We’re a registered charity (number 1165365) with two main aims:
1) To organise and run fund raising activities and social events which:
- Bring benefit to the WLFS community
- Raise funds to be spent on the enrichment and well-being of our pupils so to advance their educational experience at the school
2) Develop the relationship between staff, parents/carers, the local community, and others associated with WLFS
The WLFS PTA brings together parents, teachers and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community, as well as strengthing links with the wider community. Each academic year, parents/carers are elected to the PTA Committee. The Committee meets regularly with the purpose of organising fund raising activities and social events to meet our charitable aims. All money raised goes towards educational enrichment and student well-being and is usually spent on things that the school budget does not cover.
27% of our student body (in-line with the borough average) is eligible for free school meals. So the PTA’s commitment to our charitable aims benefits a diverse school community of over 900 local children and their families.
