Severn Arts is a charitable company providing music education and arts development across Worcestershire. We are the lead organisation for Worcestershire's Music Education Hub, holding an Arts Council England contract to develop and deliver an accessible and high quality music education for young people. We also deliver the County Arts Service on behalf of Worcestershire County Council.
We connect with 10,000 people a year and work in over 200 schools. We provide music tuition, performance opportunities and instrument hire. Did you know we have nearly 7,000 instruments?! We also run 15 orchestras, such as the Worcestershire Youth Wind Orchestra and the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra.
In parallel to this campaign, we are building a bursary scheme which will be used to reduce the costs of music lessons for families who find them unaffordable. We hope to launch the bursary scheme at the same time as our travelling van is visiting venues all over the county to provide musical tasters to young people in all circumstances.
