About the Project Creator
Bizzie Bodies is a CIC with the aim of empowering Young People who would otherwise have minimal access to digital technology and creative learning outside of their school education. The organisation aims to facilitate social inclusion in a multi-cultural society through participative visual arts and digital tech.
Our participants are young children aged 6-18 years of age, but we also offer placement opportunities to young adults and students. These are exciting times where STEAM education and 3D tech innovation means you can choose to be who you want to be and gain a bright new future! (*Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths)
Our mission
-
Collaboration – Partnering with like-minded individuals and organisations to bring Digital Design, Traditional, New & Future Tech to as many kids and young adults as possible.
-
Access – Enabling all children from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures, especially those with less access than most, to have hands on experience of digital technology.
-
Opportunities – Learning new skills and using new technological equipment that is usually out of reach.
-
Skills development – Future proofing the young, by enabling them to start their own ventures one day or, be employed in the new digital design and tech industry
-
Showcases – Bizzie Bodies aims to showcase the children’s work. Showing the world and more importantly their local community what they are capable of. Through exhibitions, social media, an online presence and free one-off events open to everyone. The gallery of work and workshops will enable children to interact in diverse environments, improving abilities, dexterity and confidence.
To achieve our mission, Bizzie Bodies’ priority has been to build a sustainable creative education platform in Rotherhithe; we now want to move on to neighbouring communities, and beyond, collaborating with as many like-minded innovative partners as possible. We welcome, and are always interested in hearing from new collaborative partners to discuss possible opportunities to empower communities in the future. We have earned a strong reputation for high quality, affordable extra-curricular activities - the future is bright for Bizzie Bodies, the future is technology, language and community cohesion for all.
