Swim the Pacific in Chester

We have placed an order for the tiles, and are currently awaiting delivery. This will complete the first stage of our mission to re-open the Pacific Pool. Many, many thanks to all who have contributed to the project so far. However, this is only the half-way stage on our journey; we will soon have the tiles, but now need to raise sufficient funds to pay for the professional preparation of the pool base, followed by the installation of the tiles. This has to be done by a specialist company, so please keep an eye open for our next Spacehive project.

Samples of the tiles have now been delivered to the manufacturer, so we are now awaiting feedback from them.

Samples will be delivered to a specialist tile-maker sometime this week, so once the pledges have been received by the Swimming Association, we can order the new tiles. We are currently awaiting a quote for the cost of installing the tiles. Again, thankyou to all who supported the project.

Thankyou everyone who has contributed to our project to pay for the replacement tiles required to re-open the Pacific Pool at Chester City Baths. We have had pledges from companies, from named and anonymous individuals, the Marjory Boddy Trust, the Earl of Chester's Fund, Cheshire West and Chester Council and from the City of Chester Swimming Club.
