We have done it - thanks to you...!9 months ago

We would like to invite all those 159 generous people to help us celebrate the grand opening of the playground and community site on Sunday, 7 September at 12.00. Cllr Linda Cohen will be cutting the ribbon, and our vicar Fiona Crocker will bless the site. There will be fun for all, cream teas, a teddy bear abseiling from the church tower, and a chance for us to thank you personally for your kindness. Why not bring a picnic and help us celebrate this wonderful achievement? Thank you

Good morning Stinchcombe backers! Our playground and community space made a mega leap forward yesterday morning, thanks to villagers Will, Ben, Roger, Charlie Mac, David, and Alex. Two of the benches have been installed and set in concrete, all the gravel has been distributed along the paths, the flower bed has been dug over, the playground gate has been re-hung, all the edges of the paths have been back filled, and the area under the swings has been flattened. Amazing!! Thank you all very much for your time and skillful work. This afternoon the picket fencing is being installed on both sides of the entrance into the field. One more bench needs concreting in, the main oak gates into the field need rehanging, and the paths need compacting. We are nearly there…🤞

An update on the rules for the paintings and drawings auction...1 year ago

It has been decided to terminate the auction at 17.00 instead of 23.59 on 1 March. That way, the highest bid can be declared at the end of the celebration event in the church. The highest bidder (name and amount) that I have received before 2.00pm on Saturday, 1 March will be written down next to the exhibited auction item in the church. Further higher bids can then be added in person by completing name and amount on a sheet close to each exhibit, up to the deadline of 5pm.
