Ealing Parks Foundation is a recently established local charity, the first Parks Foundation in London, formed in answer to the diminishing amount of public funding available for the enhancement of public parks and green spaces. The six Trustees have been drawn from the local community, through an open recruitment process and come from a wide range of backgrounds. They all share a passion for parks and green spaces and are bringing their various skills to creating and supporting this new charitable trust.
Ealing Parks Foundation will play a leading role to ensure that Ealing is a borough with distinctive parks, vibrant green spaces, and exceptional habitat, designed to contribute towards ecological diversity, support environmental sustainability and offer excellent recreational opportunities that connect our community, promoting health and well-being, appreciation of our natural environment and providing great places to meet, play, learn, grow, breathe and enjoy nature together.
Ealing Parks Foundation will support parks across Ealing with time, expertise and raising funds for the “added extras” that make a positive difference for people and our shared green spaces. Raising funds for a drinking water fountain in Southall Park is one of our projects that will make that positive difference.
We also pleased to announce that we launched our first initiative with ‘The Ealing Parks Foundation Summer Family Wildlife programme’. This programme successfully linked children and families with nature in a fun way.
