More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

We have had a positive impact on the environment. Now people visiting the park can drink fresh water from the fountain, and can re-fill their own water bottles. This reduces single plastic bottle waste - and reduction in litter in Southall Park. We have achieved what we set out to do and this project means that people exercising, kids playing and everyone (including their pets) in the park can have free and easy access to drinking water.

The local economy

The local economy

The project is supported by Let's Go Southall, Park Run and other local groups - we help the local economy by encouraging people to come out into their community green space.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

The project has been supported entirely by volunteers.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

Our project will make it a lot easier (and cheaper) for people to enjoy being active in the park, because there will be no need to buy or carry drinks. People will be able to top up their own water bottles, and have access to free drinking water. It’s made a big difference already to people on the Park Run, cyclists and people using the outdoor gym.
