Southall Park visitors will benefit from a new drinking water fountain. Designed with a tap, bottle filler and bowl for dogs, it will reduce plastic bottle litter and cost. A great combination.
A new drinking water fountain in Southall Park, (there is none there currently). This will provide everyone with access to free and healthy tap water. It is designed to be extremely durable; has a drinking tap and a bottle-filling tap; and it also has a ground-level tap/bowl perfect for dogs. It will be conveniently located near the outdoor gym equipment and playground. It will additionally help reduce the amount of single bottle plastic use and also help reduce litter.

Why it's a great idea:
The average London adult buys more than three plastic water bottles every week - a startling 175 bottles every year per person. In total, some 7.7 billion plastic bottles are bought across the UK each year, resulting in substantial amounts of single-use plastic waste. Drinking water fountains help reduce the number of single use plastic water bottles used, helping our environment and cash in our pockets.

Southall Park is a glorious park in Southall, Ealing, with winding paths, grass areas and tree-lined walkways. It is accessible from Uxbridge Road, Green Drive and Boyd Avenue, Southall. Facilities: Play centre, multi-use games area, playground and adult exercise area.

Thank you so much for supporting this project - if you want to say no to plastic bottle litter and yes to free water in Southall Park then please let others know about this campaign- we have six days left! Your local shopkeepers, friends, colleagues, your local Councillors too!! While we are hoping for some other funding it’s not certain so we need that final push! Come on Southall you can do it!
