As our campaign draws to a close in 2 days time, The Friends of Hampstons Well would like to give a final and resounding THANK YOU to all our wonderful, generous backers. Your support will enable the Friends to continue with the restoration work at the Well and Community Garden in the New Year . We will be finishing the clearance of the Spring pool, fixing the cobble setts, getting some native bulbs planted as well as continuing with the general maintenance work. We hope you will all visit us soon, maybe come along to our regular volunteer sessions on the first Saturday and third Thursday of the month 10.30-12.30 (weather permitting) to help out or just come along for a chat. You would be most welcome. Please visit our Face Book Page too and follow our progress at Friends of Hampstons Well (Burton). Thank you again ... your good will and generosity has lifted our spirits and fueled our determination knowing that we have your support......
Whoop, 30 people have pledged since fundraising began!
Amazing News....thanks to the generous contributions from all of you and we have only gone and done it... the generous donations from people yesterday pushed us closer and closer ...and now our target has been reached YAAAYY !!! THANK YOU This will enable us to continue with the restoration work- in the first instance finishing off the spring-pool clearance and then to repair and restore the cobble setts around the pool. The campaign will continue till Sunday 12th December as any over-funding we receive will be put to good use- fixing the sandstone walls and drainage systems . Thank you all again..keep spreading the word ..
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
Thank you to all those who volunteered to take part in the first BIG DIG of the Millennium to clear the spring-pond. As well as Friends of Hampstons Well , we had members of the local community and support from CWAC Greenspace officer , Tim Lloyd, as well as Gwyn and Duncan from Quest/ ENGIE . It was a great few days of hard work but great fun , all helped along by Shelia's lovely lemon drizzle cake and Banana bread which kept us all going. This event was assisted by much appreciated pre-campaign funding from Councillor Hogg . Thank you every one who supported this event , you are all amazing...
Thank you to all the wonderful backers who have made pledges to support our campaign to Restore the Ancient Well and Community garden at Burton. The pledges we received yesterday from CWAC Crowd Fund and Covid Recovery Fund have given our campaign a tremendous boost and the generous pledges received today from Emma Harrop and Jackie Weaver have put us in touching distance of the final target....thank you ALL for your kindness and support....
