Recycled Future Fashion Cultural Show

We are excited to share that the LEAP Recycled Future Fashion Cultural workshops in Lancaster start next Saturday 18th Jan! People can attend one or all of the workshops and they will be held at the Lancaster Central Library from 1-3 pm. The Multicultural Recycled Fashion Show will be held on International Women's Day 8th March at the Gallery at The Storey near the railway station in Lancaster. I, and my codirectors Dr Kailash Parekh, Dr Richa Soni and Dr Gargi Das would like to express our huge thanks for the grand success of the LEAP Recycled Fashion Cultural Show at the Festival of Culture, Town Hall, 3rd November 2024! With over 1000+ tickets booked by diverse communities across Lancaster, LEAP was able to impact hundreds of people in the audience with its message of SUSTAINABLE FASHION CHOICES! This would have been impossible without: The fantastic curating of fashion and compering by Mrs Charu Jalota! The wonderful loan of clothes by St John's Hospice, the Sewing Club and from LEAP Recycled clothing workshops. The consistent support throughout by Mrs Harsha Shukla MBE, President of Lancaster Morecambe Hindu Society. The amazing performance by all the participants and the massive support from all guardians and family!! A special thank you to Mrs Savannah Dabble, Mrs Anamika Ranjan, Ms Shuai Yuan, Mr Pritam Pal and Daruk Pal for the excellent coordination on the day and all the hours of hard work in the background.

Our Recycled Fashion Cultures pilot workshop was featured at the awards! So proud of LEAP and LEAP Voices of Youth for achieving this through such innovative projects!
