More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

This event, highlighted what was going on in North Tyneside. We had over a dozen environmental information stalls like Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Extinction Rebellion and much more. We also had over 30 small businesses where their products were environmentally conscious. We also had workshops, talks and films which taught and told our visitors about many different subjects. The continuous craft we had taught many people how to reuse and recycle many different items that help to save the environmen.

The local economy

The local economy

On the day, I brought together all of the Pop up's that I have had in our little shop since we opened 5 years ago. These small businesses work in North Tyneside and they had a very successful day of selling. Highlighting that they work in the local economy. There were a lot of collaborations between these stalls and future working together. The artists and makers also gained work at future events and promoted their fantastic interactive projects

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We had over 17 volunteers on the day who offered their services and time on the Day. The guided people around the event and were on hand to help anyone who needed it, whether it was guiding someone to an event or giving a stall holder a toilet break. There was so much to learn on the the day, whether it was fixing a small electrical item, or learning to slow stitch, make your own bath salts, environmental bird counting on the coast, foraging, growing your own vegetable, folding paper to make planting pots, learning about the Rockpool School, planting hedges and much more. We taught a lot of people different interesting pieces of information on the day.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

From the very start, this project was always about the Environment through Art. We had incredible artists and makers who brought this whole project together, from all day craft that you could sit down and interactive with to learning new skills. This event showcased who was available and working in the Arts in North Tyneside. We have an incredible number of Artists working and providing services in this area.

Activity, health and leisure
