Powick Action on Climate Emergency (PACE) is a sub group of Powick Parish Council. We aim to inform the community of relevant facts regarding Climate Change and to encourage the changes in our daily lives that will asist in reducing carbon emissions and and work towards a sustainable future.
We recognise the effect that climatic events are having on wildlife and wish to encourage the community to act to enhance the environment to increase the biodiversity
We particularly want to encourage children and young persons to recognise the value of interacting with nature.
Both of the sites named in the project are owned by Powick Parish Council and we appreciate the opportunity to improve the facilities so that they may appeal to a wider audience.
A new pavillion has been built at the football pitch and the planting of trees and bulbs will assisting developing a pollinator site as well as softening the hard landscaping of the site.
