Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has announced a third year of funding for the Community Environment Fund. Green projects from across the Liverpool City Region can now apply for grants of up to £30,000 for initiatives that encourage long-term behavioural change, while improving the city region’s environment and safeguarding its green spaces.

We’re interested in funding projects which address issues such as climate change, air quality, energy use and transport, enhancing green spaces, promoting biodiversity and increasing environmental awareness and knowledge.

The fund has already supported 92 local environmental projects including community gardens, bikes for veterans, beekeeping and food growing initiatives.

This year, the fund is working with community fundraising platform Spacehive, to give projects the opportunity to crowdfund for their transformative projects, allowing them to access private funding as well as further engage with the local communities that will benefit from the schemes.

As part of this crowdfunding programme, groups could receive up to £30,000 towards their project. We will typically support up to 75% of project costs however, where there is an exceptional case to do so, this threshold can be exceeded.

* Register here for our free online crowdfunding workshop on Tuesday the 11th of June from 12noon- 1pm. *

See below for how to get involved.
