Feral Events is a creative company specialising in arts and events.
Feral encourages connection, participation and adventure through experiential and immersive arts and events. We strive to express the creative spirit of humanity by engaging the cognitive capabilities and raw instincts of our species and celebrate the wild nature of the universe.
We utilise film, dance, theatre, fine art, installation, augmented reality, poetry and music to deliver meaningful and impactful projects and programming for community projects, arts & science festivals, PR events, theatre shows, art installations, workshops and leadership programs.
Why use augmented reality? We believe that the unison between tangible art and digital art brings unique opportunities both for the enjoyment of culture and as a means of communication. This has huge implications as public artworks become wide-reaching campaign tools to promote positive action. From climate change to mental health we want to not only raise awareness but create touchpoints that allow audiences to act immediately. Both reach and engagement are increased exponentially through our unique approach.
We are passionate about inclusivity, equality and diversity, aiming to engage as broad a spectrum of contributors to every project as possible. For this project we will be looking to platform local poets, artists and charities within the digital platform by providing embedded content as well as external links to their own websites.
Feral has experience managing large budgets of up to $1.2 million. We have delivered large scale art projects using public funds nationally and internationally. We have very safety standards and complete extensive risk assessment for all our work. All workshops and activities will be COVID safety compliant and we have back up plans for remote workshop delivery should high-level restrictions be in place. For publicly funded projects such as this, we operate a Profit for Purpose policy meaning that we aim not to make a profit, only to cover labour and expenses.
