Hi there supporters, Thanks so much for pledging to Mind Murals. We just wanted to remind you that the Spacehive crowdfund closed without us receiving a penny! Your pledge was not taken. Despite this we have almost raised enough money to complete phase 1 of the project. We are just £2,000 short. We know you were passionate about supporting the project so we have opened a new crowdfund on Go Fund Me to raise these funds. Our first workshops for mental health service users in the community is on July 13th Chestnuts Community Center in Haringey with four more the following week and we will have two murals painted by the end of August. The Augmented reality element will be developed as a demo hot on the heels of this. Your donation will go towards costs including workshop materials, mural painting materials and facilitators and artist fees, graphic design and augmented reality demo production, project management and community space hire for our workshops, to name some of our main outgoings. Hello all our amazing Mind Murals supporters! We have great news! Mind Murals is happening! And we still need your help. Sadly as we did not receive the Mayor’s Make London fund the Space Hive target of £36K was just too high to reach with community support alone. So we have changed strategy and will complete the project in phases. The first stage goes live in June in just a few weeks. We are delighted that we have received grants from the Harringey NHS mental health trust, Made by Tottenham, and The Bridge Renewal Trust, totaling £7,000. Stage one will cost £9,000 to complete which means our remaining target is just £2,000. So we really need everyone who pledged to the Spacehive to please now donate via our new crowdfund on Go Fund Me. (COVID safe). 1 x mural at Blossom Court, St Ann's Hospital. 1 x mural for the Bridge Renewal Trust, Haringey. Mind Mural fine art print for large contributors and for sale to raise money for future projects and mental health charities. Augmented Reality demo PHASE 2 1 x Augmented reality mobile application. 20+ interactive augmented reality digital elements and links in the mural app. 1 year's worth of augmented reality content curation for the mural. 1000 Mind Mural posters for contributors, hospitals, schools, community centers etc We are in talks with Lottery funding for phase two and will be aiming to complete this in late 2021. Completing Phase 1 ahead will help us to show funders a proof of concept and give them confidence in the project's wider reach and potential to help communities beyond the hospital walls. We wanted to update you as you may have seen, we were not successful in our bid for the Mayor's Make London Fund. Sadly, there was a higher than the normal number of applicants and they were not able to fund as many projects as they would have liked. We did get positive feedback about the project and are continuing to receive interest across Haringey and beyond. We wish all those who received the fund all the luck in their projects. They really are all deserving. In the meantime we need to step up our efforts- can you help for a few hours, a week flying or sending emails? Please get in touch!! We've got to keep going!
